Founded by Johan and Blair Scheepers, Basketly started its journey in 2019 in South Africa and has since expanded to New Zealand in 2021 and the USA in 2024. Our story is driven by a passion for beautifully crafted homeware and a commitment to ethical sourcing, bridging the gap between skilled artisans and homes across the globe.

At Basketly, we believe in fostering meaningful relationships with our craftsmen. We work closely with talented artisans, many of whom have over five years of experience in the rattan wicker industry. While our partners may not always have formal Fair Trade certifications, we take active steps to visit and evaluate each workshop. By doing so, we ensure that our values align, and we prioritize fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for skill development.
